The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Casimiro Uzuri showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 9th minute Zacarias Ekialde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casimiro Uzuri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lucas Lluterio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Honesto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimiro Uzuri having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Romulo Oso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Amador Bizi. Romulo Oso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The supporters of Günther FC booed when CRUZ AZUL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prudencio Onofre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amador Bizi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Lluterio, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When Romulo Oso came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the CRUZ AZUL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romulo Oso couldn't finish the play. Amador Bizi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romulo Oso in the 42nd minute. Zacarias Ekialde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Zacarias Ekialde managed to get in a good position for a shot. Günther FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zacarias Ekialde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the last second Casimiro Uzuri throw himself and got hold of the ball when Zacarias Ekialde in the 68thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 91st minute, Francisco Marcones made a precise shot to the right of Casimiro Uzuri. CRUZ AZUL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The Günther FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Günther FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
