Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Raimundo Matxin started the match with the kick off. Sixto Veto struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Gregorio Ekhi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berna. Joaquin Gelacio hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, Jairo Endura sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cabana's Gregorio Ekhi didn't even have to move. Leonardo Ted recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Sixto Veto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gregorio Ekhi was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Gregorio Ekhi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sixto Veto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Fernando Donzel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christian Adrio, 22 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Saul Cordarrol stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raimundo Matxin's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute Sixto Veto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Ekhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sixto Veto in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gregorio Ekhi saved Cabana from getting behind. Saul Cordarrol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo Matxin, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Eulalio Cordarryl charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eulalio Cordarryl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Berna! Raimundo Matxin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Cordarrol having to interfere. Cristobal Resto's late challenge caught a Cabana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristobal Resto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd match minute, Berna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristobal Resto to maneuver through the defense. Berna's Saul Cordarrol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Berna from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When Guillermo Valery came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Berna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillermo Valery couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Cabana's Gregorio Ekhi got control of the ball when Sixto Veto tried to sneak it across the goal line.
