The Internacionale FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eduardo Palban should have stopped the shot. Vicente Herauso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Cornelio Aritza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eduardo Palban took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Natanael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Cornelio Aritza managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Internacionale FC's Amadeo Brun fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 27 minutes into the match, Internacionale FC's Vicente Herauso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cornelio Aritza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emilio Viator to strike the kick off in the second half.
