Cristo Gurutz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Abarca having to interfere. Chalicán AFC's Zeledon Demesio got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Domingo Qwinton made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Domingo Qwinton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Laurgain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chalicán AFC's Jacinto Abarca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Chalicán AFC from getting a goal against them. Ramon Txomin shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristo Gurutz got free with Jacinto Abarca in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Qwinton in the 95th minute of play forced Atamisqui's goalkeeper Arnaldo Laurgain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Laurgain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Hori in the 98th minute of play. Chalicán AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result.
