After a defensive mix-up in Altona AFC's zone, Taner Yaldırak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santo Koldo came out of the goal and Taner Yaldırak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Tipi in the 15th minute of play forced Aguilas's goalkeeper Leandro Ferrer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Altona AFC's Santo Koldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özcan Oğuzcan in the 17th minute of play. Taner Yaldırak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Altona AFC's Lino Gonzo got a free kick in the 20th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Lino Gonzo in the 23rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Aguilas's Fabio Quirze. 25 minutes into the match, Aguilas's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Tipi came free, but Leandro Ferrer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Gelmiro kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. If Özcan Oğuzcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute Raimundo Tipi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Ferrer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Lino Gonzo in the 34th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Aguilas's Fabio Quirze. A collision led to Altona AFC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Arturo Alvarez hit a great ball. Santo Bordat made in the 40th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Leonel Ellande. Leandro Ferrer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Tipi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Aguilas getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Lucio Sazon hit a great ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Özcan Oğuzcan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aguilas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Özcan Oğuzcan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute Taner Yaldırak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Koldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raimundo Tipi to make the kick off. Santo Koldo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 57th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. A throw-in in the 63rd minute of the game was made by Santo Bordat with Constantino Vergaray as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Santo Koldo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Özcan Oğuzcan in the 66th minute. Altona AFC's Santo Koldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifacio Sesuldo in the 67th minute of play. Santo Koldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taner Yaldırak, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Özcan Oğuzcan might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santo Koldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Özcan Oğuzcan ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Özcan Oğuzcan got free with Santo Koldo in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute of the match Aguilas got a corner. Altona AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Taner Yaldırak ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Taner Yaldırak almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Altona AFC's Santo Koldo did a great save. Aguilas were furious when Fabio Quirze was red carded, 80 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 81 played minutes Aguilas got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Quirze. In the 82nd minute, Felix Artal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santo Koldo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Taner Yaldırak's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Aguilas's attentive Ildefonso Osoro managed to snatch the ball when Santo Bordat made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. In the 91st minute of the game Santo Bordat made a throw-in which Alfredo Gelmiro played forward. Taner Yaldırak received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Santo Koldo came out and tried to block the shot, but Taner Yaldırak slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 92nd minute. When the match was over Aguilas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Altona AFC throughout the match.
