But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Özcan Oğuzcan couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Aguilas booed when French FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonzo Idacio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aguilas's Ildefonso Osoro quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Anselmo Sanduru, made in the 87th minute of the game. 93 minutes into the match, Fabio Quirze had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Clemente Machado. French FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabio Quirze was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Despite being the better team, Aguilas failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
