The supporters of Volta AFC booed when generales guaymas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horacio Garoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Erasmo Manuelo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Israel Barto. That made the score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. In the 24th minute, Horacio Garoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isaias Gines hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Teodoro Todor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Lluques in the 26th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind generales guaymas's goalkeeper Israel Barto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gaston Ikatz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Apolo Lluques struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Teodoro Todor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for generales guaymas.
