Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Arnulfo Bitxintxo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Primitivo Joseph made an important save on a dangerous shot by Humberto Otsoko in the 5th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Valentin Ted managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nelson's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Ted was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudio Fiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13thth minute of the game Arnulfo Bitxintxo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Apuyaco FC's Claudio Fiz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Apuyaco FC's zone, Valentin Ted stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Fiz came out of the goal and Valentin Ted tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Humberto Otsoko took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Primitivo Joseph. Primitivo Joseph dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 21st minute Valentin Ted shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Fiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nelson's goalkeeper Primitivo Joseph, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nelson's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Benedicto Estevez scored to the left of an out of position Primitivo Joseph, making the score, 2-0. The supporters of Nelson booed when Apuyaco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Unai didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Arnulfo Bitxintxo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudio Fiz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 32 played minutes Nelson got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Eli. Humberto Otsoko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Primitivo Joseph tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Ted in the 48th minute of play forced Apuyaco FC's goalkeeper Claudio Fiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benedicto Estevez made a kick off. Nelson's Arnulfo Eli suffered a sore knee after 56 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 57th match minute, Apuyaco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Desiderio Hermon to maneuver through the defense. After 62 played minutes Apuyaco FC got a freekick which was hit by Desiderio Hermon. Humberto Otsoko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Lucio Tanio came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Nelson fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucio Tanio couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Humberto Otsoko in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Primitivo Joseph saved Nelson from getting behind. After 74 played minutes Apuyaco FC got a freekick which was hit by Donato Sayveon. Aureliano Ruisko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudio Fiz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Valentin Ted fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Fiz having to interfere. Nelson's Lucio Tanio suffered a concussion in the 78th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. A collision led to Apuyaco FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Cirilo Claude hit a great ball. Apuyaco FC's Benedicto Estevez managed to work through Nelson's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Benedicto Estevez dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After some careless play in the Nelson defense, Benedicto Estevez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Primitivo Joseph. The Nelson fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Primitivo Joseph should have stopped the shot. Primitivo Joseph took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Otsoko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nelson's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
