Jaime Palos kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 5 minutes into the game, Silverio Aurken cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gavino Guipuzkoa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gavino Guipuzkoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silverio Aurken in the 10th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dario Victoro during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Colibries Dorados FC booed when Liberty United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Victoro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Colibries Dorados FC's Florencio Regis tried to score from far away in the 14th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Colibries Dorados FC defense, Silverio Aurken kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gavino Guipuzkoa. The Colibries Dorados FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gavino Guipuzkoa should have stopped the shot. Gavino Guipuzkoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Matai in the 25th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fermin Laurentzi in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Montae saved Liberty United from getting behind. In the 31st match minute, Colibries Dorados FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fermin Laurentzi to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Matai in the 32nd minute of play forced Colibries Dorados FC's goalkeeper Gavino Guipuzkoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Benicio Orlo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honorio Goren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Montae having to interfere. Fernando Fortun kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Fermin Laurentzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Montae having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fermin Laurentzi in the 44th minute of play forced Liberty United's goalkeeper Benito Montae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 49th minute, Colibries Dorados FC's Benjamin Aurre seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Benjamin Aurre the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Colibries Dorados FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Benjamin Aurre had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 48 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Colibries Dorados FC! Gavino Guipuzkoa had in the 51stth minute some difficulties stopping Fernando Fortun's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 51st minute, Fernando Fortun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gavino Guipuzkoa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After the first half Liberty United were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Honorio Goren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gavino Guipuzkoa made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Silverio Aurken sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Silverio Aurken managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liberty United's supporters rose to their feet, but Silverio Aurken was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gavino Guipuzkoa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 59 minutes into the match, Colibries Dorados FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Matai came free, but Gavino Guipuzkoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauro Matai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Guipuzkoa having to interfere. After having played for 63 minutes, Silverio Aurken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liberty United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silverio Aurken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Honorio Goren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Moises Lalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the match, Colibries Dorados FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Matai came free, but Gavino Guipuzkoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gavino Guipuzkoa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silverio Aurken in the 73rd minute. After 77 played minutes Colibries Dorados FC got a freekick which was hit by Moises Lalla. Liberty United's Silverio Aurken got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 81 in the game by Silverio Aurken from a close distance when the talented Gavino Guipuzkoa managed to make a qualified save. Colibries Dorados FC's players were relieved. Silverio Aurken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute, Silverio Aurken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mauro Matai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Guipuzkoa having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Matai in the 93rd minute of play forced Colibries Dorados FC's goalkeeper Gavino Guipuzkoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauro Matai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mauro Matai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 103 minutes into the game, Mauro Matai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Gavino Guipuzkoa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Liberty United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Liberty United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
