Alfonso Lonzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Lamberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hernan Lamberto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonso Lonzo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. If Hernan Lamberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidro Hever fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Lonzo having to interfere. Alfonso Lonzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidro Hever, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. If Hernan Lamberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute Isidro Hever shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Lonzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Genaro Sidro charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Genaro Sidro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Polanco Football Club booed when Carrizal AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Sidro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Polanco Football Club's zone, Hernan Lamberto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonso Lonzo came out of the goal and Hernan Lamberto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Polanco Football Club's Victorino Cutberto got a free kick in the 34th minute. Edgard Primeiro, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 36th minute, Victorino Cutberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute Hernan Lamberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Lonzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Victorino Cutberto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Polanco Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carrizal AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Polanco Football Club's Victorino Cutberto got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 45th minute, Isidro Hever made a precise shot to the right of Alfonso Lonzo. Polanco Football Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After the first half Carrizal AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isidro Hever to make the kick off. When Paulino Gonza came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Polanco Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulino Gonza couldn't finish the play. Romeo Gartxot's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladimiro Nataniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Genaro Sidro got his second yellow card in the match during the 57th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Genaro Sidro kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. A collision led to Polanco Football Club getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Severiano Kaxen hit a great ball. Flavio Ferman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Lonzo having to interfere.
