The supporters of Herrera AFC booed when Cerrito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustino Iyan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Cerrito's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Adrio came free, but Cipriano Urtsua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Fernado hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Marcos Adrio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th match minute, Cerrito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Fernado to maneuver through the defense. Cipriano Urtsua made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Benito Ongile sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Cerrito's Cipriano Urtsua got control of the ball when Benito Ongile tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41st minute Marcos Adrio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Urtsua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marcos Adrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcos Adrio to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcos Adrio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 52 minutes into the match, Herrera AFC's goalkeeper Teodosio Lordi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Montez. After having played for 55 minutes, Benito Ongile managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Herrera AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benito Ongile was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute Benito Ongile shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Urtsua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, Benito Ongile got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Herrera AFC's Teodosio Lordi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Fernado in the 79th minute of play. Julian Montez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodosio Lordi having to interfere. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
