Eulalio Pello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sauce's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Cosme Montay 18 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 27 minutes into the match, Sauce's goal looked a bit too open when Cosme Montay came free, but Saul Montay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Nicolas Demario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cafayate FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Demario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saul Montay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute of the match, Cosme Montay tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Saul Montay saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Nicolas Demario came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Cafayate FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolas Demario couldn't finish the play. Cosme Montay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Montay having to interfere. Saul Montay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Demario, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Oliveiro in the 46th minute of play forced Cafayate FC's goalkeeper Carlos Tino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cosme Montay made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Eulalio Pello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Cosme Montay came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Cafayate FC fans jumped to their feet. In the 69thth minute of the game Cosme Montay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sauce's Saul Montay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gaston Oliveiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 95 minutes into the game, Flavio Oliverios was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cafayate FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sauce the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cafayate FC had won after a very even match.
