Cleto Unax could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Blas Semeno made a huge save. If Cleto Unax had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Ernesto Flor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lafinur's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Flor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximo Birjaio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anguil's Maximo Birjaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Flor in the 20th minute of play. In the 25th minute, one of Anguil:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Anguil. In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Lafinur. Bernardino Cesario stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Maximo Birjaio. 1-1. Blas Semeno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natalio Urtats in the 29th minute of the match. Maximo Birjaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Flor in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Ernesto Flor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximo Birjaio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Lafinur were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Anguil's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bernardino Cesario took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Ernesto Flor got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Maximo Birjaio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernesto Flor made a kick off. After 56 played minutes Lafinur got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Flor. Maximo Birjaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Flor in the 59th minute of play. If Lisandro Vermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leon Lluciano during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Cleto Unax had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernesto Flor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximo Birjaio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Flor in the 73rd minute of play forced Anguil's goalkeeper Maximo Birjaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximo Birjaio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gaudencio Rio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 77 minute of play. Gaudencio Rio might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximo Birjaio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaudencio Rio ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 83rd minute of the match, Ernesto Flor tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Maximo Birjaio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. During the 85th minute of the match Marcelo Gonsalvo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Marcelo Gonsalvo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 86 played minutes Anguil got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Gonsalvo. Ernesto Flor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. When Gaudencio Rio came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Lafinur fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaudencio Rio couldn't finish the play. Vinicio Pacho hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. When the match was over Lafinur could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Anguil throughout the match.
