In the 10th minute, one of Colón AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Colón AFC. The referee gave Coghlan AFC a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Diego Mano, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Colón AFC's Alonzo Seber. 0-1. Fernando Timo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulino Baraquiel in the 15th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Samuel Noe could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Fernando Timo however easily saved by the left post. In the 19th match minute, Coghlan AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonatan Florinio to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Coghlan AFC's zone, Paulino Baraquiel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Timo came out of the goal and Paulino Baraquiel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulino Baraquiel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Fernando Timo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Coghlan AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Mero came free, but Fernando Timo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, Colón AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Miliano to maneuver through the defense. Paulino Baraquiel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Fernando Timo made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Coghlan AFC's zone, Daniel Mero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Timo came out of the goal and Daniel Mero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diego Mano hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

After 62 played minutes Coghlan AFC got a freekick which was hit by Diego Mano. Coghlan AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marciano Abancens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dario Leizarraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Seber having to interfere. Coghlan AFC's Fernando Timo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Baraquiel in the 85th minute of play. If Daniel Mero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
