Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Honorato Jacindo started the match with the kick off. Benicio Baumar kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Cecilio Cidro's late challenge caught a Ranchillos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cecilio Cidro helped the player get up and apologised. Dalmacio Gaspard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Rogelio Crescencio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 10 played minutes Portugalete got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Efraim. Luciano Hever charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luciano Hever the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th match minute, Portugalete was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Hever to maneuver through the defense. Dalmacio Gaspard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rogelio Crescencio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cecilio Cidro in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edelmiro Katia saved Ranchillos FC from getting behind. If Cecilio Cidro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honorato Jacindo struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Edelmiro Katia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portugalete. 27 minutes into the game, Honorato Jacindo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Edelmiro Katia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 30th minute Mariano Estebano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Crescencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edelmiro Katia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Cidro, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Jonas Perfecto struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Rogelio Crescencio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ranchillos FC. Mariano Estebano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogelio Crescencio having to interfere. Honorato Jacindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Portugalete were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Mariano Estebano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rogelio Crescencio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Cecilio Cidro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Katia having to interfere. Ranchillos FC's Edelmiro Katia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Ranchillos FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Portugalete booed when Ranchillos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Perfecto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edelmiro Katia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorato Jacindo in the 61st minute of the match. Cecilio Cidro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Edelmiro Katia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Portugalete's zone, Dalmacio Gaspard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogelio Crescencio came out of the goal and Dalmacio Gaspard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Mariano Estebano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rogelio Crescencio was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Portugalete's Benicio Baumar got a free kick in the 73rd minute. If Honorato Jacindo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honorato Jacindo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Katia having to interfere. Edelmiro Katia came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugalete's Cecilio Cidro. But to his dismay, Cecilio Cidro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 93rd minute, Serafin Bonadona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Donato Gaxan in the 94th minute really tested Edelmiro Katia's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.
