After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Hilario Donzel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huascán's supporters rose to their feet, but Hilario Donzel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonel Gaxan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Ricardo Baumar made the kick off in the second half. Primitivo Crispo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Quintan having to interfere. Ricardo Baumar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonel Gaxan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardo Baumar's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Primitivo Crispo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ismael Quintan having to make a save. When Saul Pinto fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Huascán's protests and gave Saul Pinto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st match minute, Huascán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saul Pinto to maneuver through the defense. Ranquil's Leonel Gaxan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Ranquil from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Ranquil getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Primitivo Crispo hit a great ball. With his leg Leonel Gaxan managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Huascán's Hilario Donzel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 95th minute, Laureano Sanson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
