But to his dismay, Edelmiro Quirze quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 21st minute, Mojigasta's Faustino Cuartio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Faustino Cuartio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mojigasta protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Faustino Cuartio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of Mojigasta:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Trinidad:s goal. If Dalmacio Bermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dalmacio Bermudo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Domingos Sandalio kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquiles Romo in the 32nd minute of play forced Trinidad's goalkeeper Cirilo Tximitx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mojigasta's Aquiles Romo got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Alvaro Calixto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Mojigasta getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Fermin Barea hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dalmacio Bermudo was the one to do the kick off. If Aquiles Romo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dalmacio Bermudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute Dalmacio Bermudo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Deunoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anastasio Lidon kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Felix Deunoro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmacio Bermudo in the 79th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Dalmacio Bermudo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felix Deunoro was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. After 86 minutes, Aquiles Romo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mojigasta and the Trinidad players grew even worse after the yellow card.
