If Eleuterio Lesardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvio Dominic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Baumar, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Ovando AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Baumar came free, but Silvio Dominic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiburcio Theodore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Lesardo in the 24th minute of play. In the 31st minute, one of Ovando AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ovando AFC. The goalkeeper, Silvio Dominic, was totally fooled by Zelaya's Enzo Santio, who 34 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Silvio Dominic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Baumar in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th match minute, Ovando AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignacio Luken to maneuver through the defense. After 42 played minutes Zelaya got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Argi. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tomás Baumar made the kick off in the second half. Zelaya's Mauricio Argi got his second yellow card of the match in the 54th minute.
