Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Alejandro Arixo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Feliciano Udalaitz sped through Escalante's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Efrain Ongile. After 12 played minutes Gardey got a freekick which was hit by Vinicio Montrell. In the 17th minute, Leonardo Orkatz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonardo Orkatz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Efrain Ongile tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Feliciano Udalaitz made a precise shot to the right of Efrain Ongile. Escalante's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Alejandro Arixo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonatan Galeno kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Efrain Ongile made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliciano Udalaitz in the 44th minute of play. Ovidio Aztore's late challenge caught a Gardey's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ovidio Aztore helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Escalante's Ovidio Aztore got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half Gardey were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Feliciano Udalaitz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Gardey was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Gaxan to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Escalante's Alejandro Arixo got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 68 minutes into the game, Gardey's Leonardo Orkatz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Efrain Ongile made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Ovidio Aztore kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Santo Niva was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 80th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 84 minutes, Cirilo Inge mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gardey and the Escalante players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gardey's Cirilo Inge got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 86th match minute, Gardey was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Xacintu to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Wilfredo Blai made a precise shot to the right of Aquiles Calixto. Gardey's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. The Gardey supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gardey would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
