After a rather tough play, Mendiolaza FC's Clemente Lucero got a free kick in the 26th minute. After 33 played minutes Carolina AFC got a freekick which was hit by Edelmiro Tulio. Carlos Romano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Marcones having to interfere. Jonas Txindoki charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonas Txindoki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jonas Txindoki hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Adriana Ibar came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Carolina AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriana Ibar couldn't finish the play. When Jacobo Palos fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carolina AFC's protests and gave Jacobo Palos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute, Domingo Dei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 69 minutes into the match, Ernesto Sarracino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Prudencio Iraido, 0-1.
