Voluntad's Elias Toro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Ellande in the 3rd minute of play. Rafael Goyo's late challenge caught a Loreto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Goyo helped the player get up and apologised. After 6 played minutes Loreto got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Panpili. Evelio Naike struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Guaberto Chuan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Voluntad. If Arturo Pancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 12 minutes into the game, Zeledon Playo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Elias Toro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Zeledon Playo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 27 minutes, Arturo Pancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Voluntad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Pancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 29 played minutes Loreto got a freekick which was hit by Hilario Gai. Voluntad's Evelio Naike couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 30th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Loreto. 32 minutes into the match, Loreto's Zeledon Playo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elias Toro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Voluntad getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Agustin Matthew hit a great ball. In the 36th minute, Rafael Goyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Playo in the 38th minute of play forced Voluntad's goalkeeper Elias Toro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 40 played minutes Voluntad got a freekick which was hit by Agustin Matthew. Zeledon Playo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Elias Toro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Voluntad's Elias Toro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Playo in the 44th minute of play.

The wind increased when Damian Ellande made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Hilario Gai was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Loreto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Voluntad the free kick. After a rather tough play, Loreto's Hilario Gai got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 57th minute, Leopoldo Furman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elias Toro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zeledon Playo in the 60th minute. Arturo Pancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Loreto's Artemio Caitano got a free kick in the 70th minute. Damian Ellande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Toro having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Ellande in the 76th minute of play forced Voluntad's goalkeeper Elias Toro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elias Toro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Ellande, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Elias Toro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Ellande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Zeledon Playo came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Loreto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zeledon Playo couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Loreto getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Eloy Sidoro hit a great ball. Evelio Naike took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Guaberto Chuan. Loreto's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Elias Toro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Ellande, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Rafael Goyo hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Loreto's Angel Stanislao couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 97th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Voluntad. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
