A wasted opportunity for Cienaguita. Teodosio Furtado's late challenge caught a Palmitas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodosio Furtado helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th match minute, Cienaguita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Furtado to maneuver through the defense. Cienaguita's Santo Leizarraga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Cienaguita from getting a goal against them. After 22 played minutes Cienaguita got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Presebal. Santo Leizarraga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Txerran in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of Cienaguita booed when Palmitas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Oso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Apolo Llorienzo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cienaguita's supporters rose to their feet, but Apolo Llorienzo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesus Michael breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Rene Solustiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santo Leizarraga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingo Txerran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saturnino Oso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jesus Michael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Llorienzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Eriberto Chorche hit a great ball. Santo Leizarraga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Oso, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Rene Solustiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Jesus Michael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st match minute, Cienaguita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Presebal to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Domingo Txerran in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santo Leizarraga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gilberto Presebal kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Palmitas FC's Jesus Michael got control of the ball when Rene Solustiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jesus Michael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Llorienzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Palmitas FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fermin Sugar was slow to take the kick. During this time Cienaguita's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Fermin Sugar almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Palmitas FC's Jesus Michael did a great save. In the 75th match minute, Palmitas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marciano Piorno to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Cienaguita's Fermin Sugar tried to score from far away in the 76th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 84 played minutes Palmitas FC got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Ferran. Cienaguita's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fermin Sugar in the 87th minute. In the 87th minute, Victoriano Cibran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saturnino Oso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Leizarraga having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Palmitas FC's zone, Rene Solustiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesus Michael came out of the goal and Rene Solustiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
