When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Melquiades Geofredo sped through Cholila FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vinicio Teofilio. Maximiliano Reno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 8 minutes into the match, Cholila FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Reno came free, but Vinicio Teofilio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cholila FC's Vinicio Teofilio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Resto in the 12th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Pallavicini got a freekick which was hit by Justo Urtats. Albino Calvet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Lluc having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelino Urbasa in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edelmiro Lluc saved Pallavicini from getting behind. In the 18th minute, Cholila FC's Marcelino Urbasa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Maximiliano Reno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vinicio Teofilio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Damian Resto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximiliano Reno scored 1-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vinicio Teofilio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Marcelino Urbasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maximiliano Reno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cholila FC's goalkeeper Vinicio Teofilio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Damian Resto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vinicio Teofilio firmly grabbed it by the left post. Edelmiro Lluc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albino Calvet in the 68th minute of play. If Damian Resto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cholila FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Aurelio Luzaide hit a great ball. Severiano Ramone's late challenge caught a Pallavicini's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pallavicini would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
