Tablillas's Marcelino Mon got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gaudencio Estefan took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anselmo Quilo. Anselmo Quilo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Islas AFC's Gaudencio Estefan pulled a muscle in his leg after 10 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Israel Hotz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiburcio Aresti in the 14th minute of the match. Marcelino Mons short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Israel Hotz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Marcelino Mon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Israel Hotz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Tablillas's Fidel Charro got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Marcelino Mon struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Israel Hotz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tablillas. Marcelino Mon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Israel Hotz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Iigo in the 40th minute of play forced Tablillas's goalkeeper Anselmo Quilo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Marcelino Mon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bruno Iigo to make the kick off. With his leg Anselmo Quilo managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Islas AFC's Bruno Iigo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 56th match minute, Tablillas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Navarro to maneuver through the defense. 67 minutes into the match, Islas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelino Mon came free, but Israel Hotz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Tablillas fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Tablillas's Marcelino Mon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Bruno Iigo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 89th playminute. Saul Estebe's late challenge caught a Tablillas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saul Estebe helped the player get up and apologised. Islas AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
