Alejo Salbatore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Behe, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Alejo Salbatore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicanor Ospin in the 25th minute of the match. If Eliseo Pirmin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severo Roderigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Pirmin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sabagasta's Eliseo Pirmin got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicanor Ospin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicanor Ospin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Alejo Salbatore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Arnoldo Behe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Empalme's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Behe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alejo Salbatore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Pirmin couldn't finish the play. Alejo Salbatore made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnoldo Behe in the 67th minute. If Eliseo Pirmin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Eliseo Pirmin came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Sabagasta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Pirmin couldn't finish the play. Empalme's Severo Roderigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Pirmin in the 75th minute of play. Nicanor Ospin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Salbatore having to interfere. In the 85th match minute, Sabagasta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artemio Cristofol to maneuver through the defense. Eliseo Pirmin struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Severo Roderigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sabagasta.
