A hard shot by Fabricio Pello from long distance, 14 minutes into the match, got Amancio Iraitz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Leo Eufemio hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Esteban Guipuzkoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damaso Pietro in the 22nd minute of play forced Cactaca's goalkeeper Tiburcio Mel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Arenal's goal looked a bit too open when Bonifacio Heli came free, but Amancio Iraitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Esteban Guipuzkoa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arenal's goalkeeper Amancio Iraitz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elvio Beltran in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amancio Iraitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tiburcio Mel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cecilio Tadzio's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. The supporters of Arenal booed when Cactaca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimiro Lehoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cecilio Tadzio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Esteban Guipuzkoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
