Ceibalito's supporters rose to their feet, but Octavio Gipuzkoa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Everardo Grabiel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fermin James in the 8th minute of play forced Ceibalito's goalkeeper Desiderio Gergori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ceibalito's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 31 minutes into the match, Benicio Guillerme had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Everardo Grabiel. Linch FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benicio Guillerme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fermin James in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Desiderio Gergori saved Ceibalito from getting behind. Fermin James fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desiderio Gergori having to interfere. Benicio Guillerme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Grabiel having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Octavio Gipuzkoa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Octavio Gipuzkoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Paolo Beltran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Ceibalito's Desiderio Gergori got control of the ball when Fermin James tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 81 minutes, Denis Ospin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Linch FC and the Ceibalito players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ceibalito's Benicio Guillerme got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Ceibalito's goalkeeper Desiderio Gergori had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fermin James. 91 minutes into the match, Linch FC's Felix Bemabe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Desiderio Gergori narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ceibalito had won after a very even match.
