Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arnaldo Gudesteo started the match with the kick off. Roberto Sidro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardino Maule having to interfere. In the 8th match minute, Miranda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmelo Taurino to maneuver through the defense. Isaias Formerio in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zeledon Navarro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Roberto Sidro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Bernardino Maule tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardino Maule took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Gudesteo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd play minute Isaias Formerio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Zeledon Navarro. 1-0. In the 25th match minute, Mataldi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herminio Ponciano to maneuver through the defense. Roberto Sidro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Bernardino Maule tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Celso Hulberto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mataldi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Celso Hulberto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeledon Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th minute, Benedicto Loco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zeledon Navarro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isaias Formerio in the 43rd minute. Isaias Formerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Zeledon Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Celso Hulberto to strike the kick off in the second half. Roberto Sidros short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Bernardino Maule to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Mataldi FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Leonardo Quin hit a great ball. The long shot by Eleuterio Montrel in the 58th minute really tested Bernardino Maule's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Celso Hulberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeledon Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Formerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zeledon Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Hulberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Carmelo Taurino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miranda's supporters rose to their feet, but Carmelo Taurino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
