Carmelo Aritza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Carmelo Aritza got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Danilo Dominic charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danilo Dominic the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Arroyito's Danilo Dominic got a free kick in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Carmelo Aritza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grütly AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carmelo Aritza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernan Frasquito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rigoberto Urre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hernan Frasquito read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Arroyito's Celso Botello got a free kick in the 30th minute. Aureliano Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Haritzeder in the 33rd minute of the match. A collision led to Arroyito getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Jorge Solustiano hit a great ball. With a little luck, Arroyito's Hernan Frasquito got control of the ball when Carmelo Aritza tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th match minute, Arroyito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Ramone to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the match, Americo Frasco sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Hernan Frasquito threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Americo Frasco this time. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carmelo Aritza was the one to do the kick off. If Alfredo Haritzeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Grütly AFC's Bernardino Frutos got a free kick in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Haritzeder in the 57th minute of play forced Grütly AFC's goalkeeper Aureliano Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danilo Dominic got his second yellow card in the match during the 64th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Arroyito's Danilo Dominic got a free kick in the 65th minute. When Carmelo Aritza came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Grütly AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmelo Aritza couldn't finish the play. After 76 minutes, Alfredo Haritzeder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arroyito and the Grütly AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Arroyito's Alfredo Haritzeder got a free kick in the 76th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Arroyito's goal looked a bit too open when Carmelo Aritza came free, but Hernan Frasquito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grütly AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carmelo Aritza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hernan Frasquito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Aritza in the 94th minute of play. Arroyito's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
