Napalpí's Silverio Karmel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everardo Jaunti in the 13th minute of play. Silverio Karmel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Matthew in the 28th minute of play. Vicente Adrio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Virila having to interfere. Cacharí's Ciro Quexal suffered a concussion in the 33rd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vicente Adrio to strike the kick off in the second half. Anibal Virila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epifanio Tomi in the 57th minute of the match. When Vicente Adrio came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Napalpí fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Adrio couldn't finish the play. Vicente Adrio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Anibal Virila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Napalpí's Silverio Karmel got control of the ball when Apolo Matthew tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alejo Gelacio charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
