In the 21st minute, Baldomiro Theodore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evaristo Rolado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Bernardo Berbiz made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remigio Caradaro in the 27th minute of play forced Rufino's goalkeeper Amadeo Hanni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeo Hanni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigio Caradaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute of the match, Ildefonso Quintan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bernardo Berbiz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 33 minutes, Evaristo Rolado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The supporters of Rufino booed when Tobas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Ioritz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rufino's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Patricio Abascal in the 37th minute. In the 39th match minute, Rufino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Palban to maneuver through the defense. Patricio Abascal's late challenge caught a Tobas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patricio Abascal helped the player get up and apologised. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rufino!

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ildefonso Quintan to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Desiderio Llorian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 58 played minutes Rufino got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Palban. 61 minutes into the game, Rufino's Evaristo Rolado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernardo Berbiz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vinicio Oriol in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeo Hanni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Remigio Caradaro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Honorio Txaran got free with Amadeo Hanni in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ildefonso Quintan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Berbiz having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 78 minutes into the game, when Jacobo Ioritz put in a rough tackle. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tobas FC! In the 80th minute there was a penalty for Rufino. Patricio Abascal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bernardo Berbiz. 3-1. Tobas FC's Remigio Caradaro got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ildefonso Quintan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo Berbiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ildefonso Quintan in the 93rd minute of the match. Tobas FC's Bernardo Berbiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Rolado in the 95th minute of play. After 95 minutes, Baldomiro Theodore mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tobas FC and the Rufino players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 95 played minutes Tobas FC got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Theodore. Bernardo Berbiz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evaristo Rolado's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. Rufino's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
