Celestino Nicholas started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes Luján got a freekick which was hit by Jeronimo Jax. In the 6th match minute, Luján was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeronimo Jax to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Conrado Mede managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Glew AFC's Carlos Galindo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 19 minutes, Tomas Behe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Luján and the Glew AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Luján getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Tomas Behe hit a great ball. Conrado Mede made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Galindo in the 25th minute. Carlos Galindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Behe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Edelmiro Dunixi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Glew AFC defense, Hector Aires kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edelmiro Dunixi. The Glew AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edelmiro Dunixi should have stopped the shot. A hard shot by Virgilio Palos from long distance, 35 minutes into the match, got Conrado Mede's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Carlos Galindo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Conrado Mede made a huge save. After 39 played minutes Glew AFC got a freekick which was hit by Honorato Oso. Tomas Behe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the game, Luján's Hector Aires nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edelmiro Dunixi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Behe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlos Galindo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Conrado Mede tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56thth minute of the game Celestino Nicholas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Luján's Conrado Mede was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Glew AFC's Edelmiro Dunixi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Glew AFC from getting a goal against them. If Tomas Behe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edelmiro Dunixi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hector Aires went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After having played for 66 minutes, Celestino Nicholas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glew AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celestino Nicholas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Glew AFC booed when Luján was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Libertad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celestino Nicholas hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute, Celestino Nicholas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Glew AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. A collision led to Glew AFC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Virgilio Palos hit a great ball. Luján's Jeronimo Jax couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 81st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Glew AFC. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Celestino Nicholas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glew AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Celestino Nicholas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conrado Mede breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Virgilio Palos kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. If Timoteo Hanni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Galindo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Conrado Mede tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Galindo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Mede having to interfere. The Glew AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Luján's performance. The match ended with a win for Luján.
