Cadret's Lorenzo Donostia got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Maximino Bastia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mateo Enol charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mateo Enol the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Villanueva AFC booed when Cadret was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Enol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ezequiel Rainerio, 29 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Gaudencio Weather had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cadret fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! Ezequiel Rainerio shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benigno Duarte during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cadret getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Benigno Duarte hit a great ball. After 39 played minutes, Villanueva AFC's Ezequiel Rainerio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erasmo Suero came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Villanueva AFC reached it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lorenzo Donostia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 52nd minute by Maximino Bastia got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 58 minutes into the game, Uriel Eufemio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cadret's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Villanueva AFC the free kick. Uriel Eufemio hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Maximino Bastia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erasmo Suero was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After some careless play in the Cadret defense, Maximino Bastia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erasmo Suero. The Cadret fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erasmo Suero should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Esteban Cidro put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Eulalio Gartzea. After 93 minutes of play Cadret's Benigno Duarte was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Villanueva AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
