Zubiaurre AFC's Hermengildo Gonsalve proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Zubiaurre AFC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 8 minutes, Adolfo Hug managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zubiaurre AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo Hug was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robustiano Roland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eulalio Gartzea having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Robustiano Roland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zubiaurre AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Robustiano Roland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eulalio Gartzea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 17 minutes, Adolfo Hug mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zubiaurre AFC and the Villanueva AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th minute, Adolfo Hug hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hermengildo Gonsalve made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaudencio Weather in the 20th minute of play. Hermengildo Gonsalve showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Weather, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Maximino Bastia's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hermengildo Gonsalve firmly grabbed it by the left post. Eulalio Gartzea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Hug in the 29th minute of the match. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Villanueva AFC! 39 minutes into the game, Anacleto Marko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Villanueva AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zubiaurre AFC the free kick. Anacleto Marko hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Robustiano Roland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anier Cortez charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anier Cortez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st match minute, Villanueva AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anier Cortez to maneuver through the defense. Robustiano Roland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Eulalio Gartzea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Gaudencio Weather made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Zubiaurre AFC got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Jorrin. Ezequiel Rainerio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hermengildo Gonsalve. Zubiaurre AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eulalio Gartzea made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Robustiano Roland sent off a good shot on target. Robustiano Roland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eulalio Gartzea was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adolfo Hug showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 63 minute of play. After 92 played minutes Villanueva AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Rainerio. The supporters of Zubiaurre AFC booed when Villanueva AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anacleto Marko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robustiano Roland struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Eulalio Gartzea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zubiaurre AFC. Despite being the better team, Zubiaurre AFC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
