He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atalaya reached it. Miguel Fernado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Alfonso Abaunza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th match minute, Atalaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Raymon to maneuver through the defense. When Miguel Fernado came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Tancacha AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Fernado couldn't finish the play. If Miguel Fernado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 17 minutes, Bruno Maureo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tancacha AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Maureo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruno Maureo in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonso Abaunza saved Atalaya from getting behind. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Atalaya's goalkeeper Alfonso Abaunza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Tancacha AFC booed when Atalaya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Bikendi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leon Raymon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teofilo Maraman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Mannuel having to interfere. Leon Raymon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Omar Mannuel made a huge save. If Leon Raymon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atalaya's Alfonso Abaunza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Maureo in the 43rd minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teofilo Maraman to make the kick off. With a little luck, Atalaya's Alfonso Abaunza got control of the ball when Miguel Fernado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Atalaya's Teofilo Maraman got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miguel Fernado charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miguel Fernado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tancacha AFC's Miguel Fernado got a free kick in the 59th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Alfonso Abaunza successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Edgard Bide's late challenge caught a Tancacha AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard Bide helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th minute, Edgard Bide hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 66 minutes, Leon Raymon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atalaya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leon Raymon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tancacha AFC's Omar Mannuel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Maraman in the 72nd minute of play. In the 76th minute Teofilo Maraman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Mannuel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teofilo Maraman struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Omar Mannuel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atalaya. Miguel Fernado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Abaunza having to interfere.
