The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvio Cambranes got free with Daniel Laffitte in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lozada FC's Cornelio Gasteiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casimiro Hondo in the 27th minute of play. Daniel Laffitte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Fernado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the game, Casimiro Hondo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Cornelio Gasteiz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Tolombón AFC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Ismael Osmundo hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adriana Chale to make the kick off. In the 87th minute Nicolas Lamberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Gasteiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
