If Justo Bonifaco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 5th match minute, Alumbrera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Cordarrel to maneuver through the defense. Primitivo Frasquito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Ponc having to interfere. Ezequiel Xacintu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Mauricio Sazon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Raphael hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Alumbrera's zone, Justo Bonifaco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Higinio Ponc came out of the goal and Justo Bonifaco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ezequiel Xacintu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mauricio Sazon having to make a save. In the 28th minute Ezequiel Xacintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Sazon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Primitivo Frasquito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavio Sandaili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Jonatan Transito made a precise shot to the right of Higinio Ponc. Alumbrera's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Higinio Ponc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Primitivo Frasquito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Justo Bonifaco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Higinio Ponc skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Ezequiel Xacintu came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Alumbrera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Xacintu couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anselmo Santio during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 48th minute, Anselmo Santio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ezequiel Xacintu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mauricio Sazon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flavio Sandaili in the 56th minute.
