The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Emiliano Cebrian ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alejandro Ellande was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 10 minutes in the game, Melquiades Oriol fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alejandro Ellande having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hermengildo Chaime in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabricio Asur prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Melquiades Oriol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alejandro Ellande having to make a save. Melquiades Oriol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Alejandro Ellande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 22 minutes, Hermengildo Chaime managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arenal AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hermengildo Chaime was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabricio Asur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Ortzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. If Emiliano Cebrian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Melquiades Oriol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Arenal AFC fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Arenal AFC's Hermengildo Chaime looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Hermengildo Chaime had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Melquiades Oriol to make the kick off. Alejandro Ellande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Cebrian in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arenal AFC's goalkeeper Alejandro Ellande, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Celedonio Elorri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emiliano Cebrian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 74 played minutes Vieytes AFC got a freekick which was hit by Benito Intxixu. If Ruperto Ortzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruperto Ortzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Fabricio Asur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hermengildo Chaime sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruperto Ortzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Asur having to interfere. If Hermengildo Chaime had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Uriel Cordera fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vieytes AFC's protests and gave Uriel Cordera a yellow card for diving instead. When Zacarias Bemabe fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vieytes AFC's protests and gave Zacarias Bemabe a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Vieytes AFC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play.
