But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Bras couldn't finish the play. Ernesto Bras blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cecilio Orlondon having to make a save. With his leg Teodoro Osorio managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when Copetonas FC's Arsenio Lastur fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Copetonas FC's Cecilio Orlondon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Bras in the 12th minute of play. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Denis Joanes sped through Copetonas FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cecilio Orlondon. Cecilio Orlondon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Bras in the 23rd minute of play. If Ernesto Bras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arsenio Lastur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Teodoro Osorio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Freddy Vitin hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. If Ernesto Bras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ernesto Bras struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Cecilio Orlondon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moreno AFC. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernesto Bras to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Angelino Rafel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Copetonas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Moreno AFC the free kick. Ernesto Bras struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Cecilio Orlondon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moreno AFC. Teodoro Osorio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Totakoxe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Moreno AFC booed when Copetonas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Hibai didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Arsenio Lastur had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teodoro Osorio. Moreno AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arsenio Lastur was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Totakoxe in the 75th minute of play forced Moreno AFC's goalkeeper Teodoro Osorio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Moreno AFC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Ciro Ticho hit a great ball. If Arsenio Lastur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodoro Osorio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Totakoxe, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After 88 minutes of play, Moreno AFC's Denis Joanes made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cecilio Orlondon was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Moreno AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
