After 6 minutes, Gerardo Moise mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Batea AFC and the Rivera players grew even worse after the yellow card. Serafin Abastas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Florentino Oliverios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 16 minutes, Prospero Geofredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Batea AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prospero Geofredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Rivera's goal looked a bit too open when Venancio Vergaray came free, but Simon Celio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Batea AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Venancio Vergaray was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Celio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Prospero Geofredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Simon Celio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simon Celio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Geofredo in the 33rd minute of play. If Serafin Abastas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Serafin Abastas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rivera's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafin Abastas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Venancio Gerazan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Venancio Vergaray stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Batea AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
