Jairo Fagildo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Jacobo Anaya's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benicio Matro was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Jacobo Anaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benicio Matro having to interfere. Jacobo Anaya struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Benicio Matro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Runciman. In the 22nd match minute, Runciman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victoriano Betadur to maneuver through the defense. If Jacobo Anaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Rinconadilla defense, Jacobo Anaya kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benicio Matro. The Rinconadilla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benicio Matro should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Noe in the 30th minute of play forced Rinconadilla's goalkeeper Benicio Matro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Noe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benicio Matro having to interfere. Rinconadilla's Leonides Porfiro got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Lucas Noe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ariel Mosen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Jacobo Anaya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacobo Anaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Rinconadilla's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lucas Noe fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Benicio Matro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacobo Anaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benicio Matro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacobo Anaya in the 67th minute of the match. Benicio Matro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacobo Anaya, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacobo Anaya in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benicio Matro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Eduardo Gervaso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rinconadilla's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Gervaso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jairo Fagildo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jairo Fagildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Gervaso in the 84th minute of play. Godofredo Steven kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Niceto Gabirel, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Runciman's Jairo Fagildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonides Porfiro in the 97th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
