After a rather tough play, Poblet's Octavio Indartsu got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 14 played minutes, Castelar FC's Leo Eliazar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Roberto Sedeni came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Castelar FC reached it. Roberto Sedeni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filiberto Vermudo in the 16th minute. Castelar FC's Samuel Matro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Francesco in the 18th minute of play. After 27 minutes, Hernan Librado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castelar FC and the Poblet players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th match minute, Castelar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Librado to maneuver through the defense. When Filiberto Francesco came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Poblet fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filiberto Francesco couldn't finish the play. If Filiberto Francesco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Guillermo Gregory got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th minute, Hernan Librado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Guillermo Gregory had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Octavio Indartsu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Castelar FC were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after Poblet's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leo Eliazar took the corner. The corner ended in Leo Eliazar almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Poblet's Roberto Sedeni did a great save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guillermo Gregory was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Poblet's Samuel Matro threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Guillermo Gregory, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 65th minute, Eustacio Beremundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filiberto Vermudo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Sedeni having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filiberto Vermudo in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roberto Sedeni saved Poblet from getting behind. Filiberto Vermudo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Roberto Sedeni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guillermo Gregory in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Matro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Guillermo Gregory kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Samuel Matro. That made the score 0-2 in the 80 minute of play. Roberto Sedeni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Francho in the 85th minute of the match. Poblet's Roberto Sedeni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Francho in the 87th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Adolfo Francho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roberto Sedeni was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Adolfo Francho might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roberto Sedeni. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adolfo Francho ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 93rd minute, Adolfo Francho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Castelar FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Poblet's performance. The match ended with a win for Poblet.
