Eustaquio Harri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Dionisio Cordarell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dennehy's supporters rose to their feet, but Dionisio Cordarell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eustaquio Harri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Frontera defense, Hermengildo Ixidor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eustaquio Harri. The Frontera fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eustaquio Harri should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Cipriano Maurin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frontera's supporters rose to their feet, but Cipriano Maurin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Oliveiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Albino Pere hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Reynaldo Oliveiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everardo Bernard, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Marcos Llope charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcos Llope the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Reynaldo Oliveiro was a little too slow when Everardo Bernard got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Dennehy's zone, Hernan Shepherd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Oliveiro came out of the goal and Hernan Shepherd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dionisio Cordarell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Hermengildo Ixidor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dennehy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hermengildo Ixidor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cipriano Maurin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Oliveiro having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Everardo Bernard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute Cipriano Maurin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Oliveiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Everardo Bernard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reynaldo Oliveiro was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Reynaldo Oliveiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Everardo Bernard in the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Albino Pere hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Arnaldo Maiorga managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Dennehy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reynaldo Oliveiro should have stopped the shot. Frontera's Cipriano Maurin got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Frontera were the better team. Frontera's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
