In the 16th match minute, Ichigualasto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Bidari to maneuver through the defense. If Hector Misael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Médanos FC's Basilio Frederico proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Médanos FC from getting a goal against them. Leopoldo Eskuin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lázaro Napier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melchor Juvenal during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Médanos FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Melchor Juvenal hit a great ball. Hector Misael who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Basilio Frederico when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Leopoldo Eskuin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Fagondo in the 33rd minute of play. When Raul Fagondo came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Médanos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raul Fagondo couldn't finish the play. Lázaro Napier might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leopoldo Eskuin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lázaro Napier ran back to his position shaking his head. Leopoldo Eskuin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Fagondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Lázaro Napier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vicente Bidari might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Basilio Frederico. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vicente Bidari ran back to his position shaking his head. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 54th match minute, Médanos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnulfo Ovando to maneuver through the defense. Hector Misael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severo Guillelmo hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute Emanuel Orlondon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Frederico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Raul Fagondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Leopoldo Eskuin managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Médanos FC's Lázaro Napier fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 69 minutes, Emanuel Orlondon made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Médanos FC's Basilio Frederico tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 73rd play minutes Raul Fagondo shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Leopoldo Eskuin and just under the crossbar into goal. After having played for 77 minutes, Emanuel Orlondon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ichigualasto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Orlondon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
