An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Gabino in the 7th minute of play forced Tionso FC's goalkeeper Zacarias Tartalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zacarias Tartalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casimiro Gabino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zacarias Tartalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Truylos in the 11th minute of play. In the 15th minute Lucio Turi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lisandro Viator saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Casimiro Gabino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Tartalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tionso FC's Eulalio Guillen got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 20thth minute of the game Lucio Turi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Iglesia's Lisandro Viator was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Iglesia's Lisandro Viator played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Turi in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of Tionso FC booed when Iglesia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Marcones didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the game, one of Iglesia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Lisandro Viator was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Lucio Turi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lucio Turi really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Feliciano Elixio's late challenge caught a Iglesia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Feliciano Elixio helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tionso FC's Feliciano Elixio got a free kick in the 37th minute. The referee gave Iglesia a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ubaldo Galoer, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tionso FC's Zacarias Tartalo. 1-2. Juan Marcones hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute Lucio Turi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lisandro Viator saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Ezequiel Truylos put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Zacarias Tartalo. After the first half Iglesia were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucio Turi made a kick off. Zacarias Tartalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casimiro Gabino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 minutes, Juan Marcones mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Iglesia and the Tionso FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Juan Marcones kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Turi in the 57th minute of play forced Iglesia's goalkeeper Lisandro Viator to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 59 played minutes Tionso FC got a freekick which was hit by Lucio Turi. Eulalio Guillen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Turi in the 63rd minute of play forced Iglesia's goalkeeper Lisandro Viator to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eulalio Guillen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Lucio Turi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lisandro Viator was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Juan Marcones kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After having played for 76 minutes, Ezequiel Truylos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iglesia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezequiel Truylos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Casimiro Gabino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th match minute, Tionso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Libertad to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the match, Lucio Turi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lisandro Viator. Iglesia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucio Turi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. 93 minutes into the match, Iglesia's Casimiro Gabino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zacarias Tartalo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Ezequiel Truylos fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iglesia's protests and gave Ezequiel Truylos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Iglesia getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Ezequiel Truylos hit a great ball. The Iglesia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Iglesia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
