Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sarmiento's Serafino Arotza started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Celso Ermano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermegildo Gauargi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute Ermegildo Gauargi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Ermano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 6 played minutes Sarmiento got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Belarmo. Romulo Brais charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romulo Brais the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sarmiento booed when Amuschina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Brais didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th match minute, Amuschina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romulo Brais to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute Serafino Arotza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Petri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Serafino Arotza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jaime Petri, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Amuschina's zone, Eloy Atarrabi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Petri came out of the goal and Eloy Atarrabi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Serafino Arotza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sarmiento's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafino Arotza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaime Petri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jaime Petri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafino Arotza, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. If Eloy Atarrabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, Amuschina's goal looked a bit too open when Serafino Arotza came free, but Jaime Petri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodolfo Belmiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Celso Ermano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ermegildo Gauargi was the one to do the kick off. Eloy Atarrabi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jaime Petri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Damian Clodio hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After 60 played minutes, Sarmiento's Jeronimo Jorrin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jaime Petri came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sarmiento reached it. Ermegildo Gauargi scored 2-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celso Ermano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Abel Atauri hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Ermegildo Gauargi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodolfo Belmiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sarmiento's Celso Ermano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Sarmiento from getting a goal against them. Rodolfo Belmiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Celso Ermano made a huge save. Celso Ermano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolfo Belmiro in the 77th minute. When Abel Atauri fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sarmiento's protests and gave Abel Atauri a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento's Abel Atauri got a free kick in the 78th minute. Ermegildo Gauargi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ermegildo Gauargi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Ermano having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Sarmiento's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Gauargi came free, but Celso Ermano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodolfo Belmiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Ermano having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
