Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Raimundo Aballe got the match started through his kick off. Clemente Argoitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Laureano Txomin's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. When Arnulfo Rexino fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Avellaneda's protests and gave Arnulfo Rexino a yellow card for diving instead. Arnulfo Rexino was shown his second yellow card after 9 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 12th minute, Roberto Kemen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Clemente Argoitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Covunco AFC's Lucio Gilesindo in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Avellaneda's goalie prevented a goal. Federico Colon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Evaristo Frutos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clemente Argoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silverio Xabat in the 23rd minute of play. Avellaneda's Clemente Argoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Xabat in the 24th minute of play. Clemente Argoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silverio Xabat in the 27th minute of the match. Roberto Kemen scored 0-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clemente Argoitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd minute Silverio Xabat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Argoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clemente Argoitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roberto Kemen's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. After the first half Covunco AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 53 minutes, Roberto Kemen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Covunco AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Kemen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silverio Xabat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Clemente Argoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Raimundo Aballe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Silverio Xabat kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Clemente Argoitz. That made the score 0-3 in the 59 minute of play. A hard shot 62 in the game by Roberto Kemen from a close distance when the talented Clemente Argoitz managed to make a qualified save. Avellaneda's players were relieved. Evaristo Frutos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Colon in the 66th minute of the match. Avellaneda's Clemente Argoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Xabat in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Covunco AFC's Roberto Kemen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Clemente Argoitz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Covunco AFC booed when Avellaneda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Aballe didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Avellaneda's Clemente Argoitz got control of the ball when Roberto Kemen tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute, Covunco AFC's Roberto Kemen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Clemente Argoitz. Clemente Argoitz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. If Silverio Xabat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Avellaneda's zone, Roberto Kemen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clemente Argoitz came out of the goal and Roberto Kemen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Covunco AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Covunco AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
