Roberto Kemen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Epifanio Bento read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Jarillito's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Silverio Xabat 7 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After 10 played minutes Covunco AFC got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Errolan. In the 12th match minute, Covunco AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Kemen to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the game, Gerardo Cordarrell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Evaristo Frutos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Epifanio Bento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silverio Xabat in the 18th minute of play. Silverio Xabat received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Epifanio Bento came out and tried to block the shot, but Silverio Xabat slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 20th minute. In the 25th match minute, Covunco AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Kemen to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Laureano Txomin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerardo Cordarrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Evaristo Frutos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Jarillito's zone, Laureano Txomin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Epifanio Bento came out of the goal and Laureano Txomin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 48th minute of the match Fermin Remigio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Evaristo Frutos skillfully saved the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The supporters of Covunco AFC booed when Jarillito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Lazcano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Everardo Emenon's late challenge caught a Covunco AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Epifanio Bento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 65 played minutes Jarillito got a freekick which was hit by Guido Lazcano. Covunco AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jarillito the free kick. After 86 played minutes Covunco AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lucio Gilesindo. Silverio Xabat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Bento having to interfere. Epifanio Bento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silverio Xabat in the 94th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Gerardo Cordarrell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
