Fulgencio Gil in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Florentino Luix, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Manuel Abancens kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute of the match Teodoro Abeitia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ezequiel Alvarez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Aldao's goal looked a bit too open when Anibal Bartuelo came free, but Florentino Luix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Aldao's Natalio Patxi got a free kick in the 27th minute. Carlos Goito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Alvarez having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnaldo Ermengol during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 36th minute, Arnaldo Ermengol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Candonga's Manuel Abancens in action when he in the 37th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The Candonga fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when Candonga's Fulgencio Gil looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fulgencio Gil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Florentino Luix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gavino Faro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Carlos Goito got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 55thth minute of the game Gavino Faro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Candonga's Ezequiel Alvarez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ezequiel Alvarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melchor Resto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 60 minutes, Carlos Goito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aldao and the Candonga players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Aldao getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Carlos Goito hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Anibal Bartuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Candonga's supporters rose to their feet, but Anibal Bartuelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florentino Luix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gavino Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Alvarez having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Candonga's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Carlos Goito fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Gavino Faro in the 73rd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Ezequiel Alvarez kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. After having played for 80 minutes, Gavino Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aldao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gavino Faro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Fulgencio Gil came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Candonga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fulgencio Gil couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute, Fulgencio Gil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
