Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gabriel Gerazan kicked off to start the match. If Gabriel Gerazan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Inocencio Johans came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Candelaria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inocencio Johans couldn't finish the play. 7 minutes into the match, Laureano Belarmo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jose Maria. Balboa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laureano Belarmo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Inocencio Johans took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jose Maria. Jose Maria dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 17th minute, one of Candelaria:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Candelaria. Jose Maria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inocencio Johans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inocencio Johans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Jose Maria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Aldo Pio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Candelaria's Abel Miliano got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Candelaria's Primitivo Guillelmo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Candelaria from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Balboa FC booed when Candelaria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciriaco Montrell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel Gerazan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inocencio Johans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Maria having to interfere. After 43 played minutes Balboa FC got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Sugoi. Domingo Haitz charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Domingo Haitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 48th minute Gabriel Gerazan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primitivo Guillelmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

62 minutes into the match, Balboa FC's goalkeeper Jose Maria had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Inocencio Johans. A collision led to Candelaria getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Abel Miliano hit a great ball. If Eliseo Pepillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Primitivo Guillelmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Gerazan in the 68th minute of the match. Aldo Pio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Primitivo Guillelmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Candelaria's Primitivo Guillelmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Pepillo in the 72nd minute of play. Inocencio Johans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Maria having to interfere. Primitivo Guillelmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Pepillo in the 87th minute of play. If Eliseo Pepillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliseo Pepillo in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Primitivo Guillelmo saved Candelaria from getting behind. Gabriel Gerazan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Primitivo Guillelmo having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Candelaria eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
